
Ross Muir triumphs in the 8th Italian Snooker Open 2025 in Bolzano
Bolzano, 8 March 2025 – The 8th edition of the Italian Snooker Open at the 15 Palle Billiards Centre in Bolzano featured top-class snooker and produced a deserving winner. Scotsman Ross Muir dominated the tournament and secured the title with an impressive performance.
In the final, Muir faced Denys Khmelevskyi of Ukraine, who had also impressed with strong performances in the previous rounds. But in the end, Muir left no doubt about his superiority. With precise shots and tactical skill, he came out on top. Khmelevskyi hardly had any opportunities to show his skills. But when Muir showed a brief moment of inattention, the Ukrainian took advantage of it and promptly won a frame. Nevertheless, it was not enough to seriously trouble the Scotsman.
Third place went to Usama Zafar Muhammad from Pakistan, together with the Swiss player Marvin Losi. The podium was rounded off with players from four different nations, underlining the international appeal of this tournament.
The Italian Snooker Open have now established themselves as one of the most important snooker events in Europe. The Billardcenter 15 Palle in Bolzano once again provided an excellent stage for exciting and fair competition.
With his well-deserved victory, Ross Muir joins the list of previous champions and adds another highlight to his career. Snooker fans can already look forward to the next edition of this high-class tournament.
